actually that is true its just really laggy when i try to go back into town after getting the sword and stuff from agreus and its so laggy when i get into riverside from the wilderness that i pretty much just used the give weapon cheat to get an annabelle and trained that way but yeah as i said it lags when i go enter riverside after im told to go talk to the thomas the innkeeper as soon as i get into town theres a huge lag and it doesnt go away so why not just give me all the skills and weapons so i can just sit there and kill everything
The problem is, that the Source Engine is not made for outdoor levels of these proportions, so it requires extra performance from all components of the pc to deliver a decent framerate.
But we've tried to compensate for that with a number of techniques we use in the later Valley levels. Unfortunately the wilderness doesn't profit from those techniques because it was done as one of the first levels.
